So, when a small independent business books time for you - PLEASE SHOW UP! Please be considerate of the artist's time.

Owners are investing their time into you, so please have the courtesy of showing up on time and the day of your appointment. It's quite frankly rude and annoying if you do not.

Most tattoo places require a deposit for this exact reason. At lease you have some skin in the game. Intended pun. This means that if you do not show, the artist is not sitting at work with no income. At least they have the deposit.

If you show up late, be prepared to pay for that time anyway. Showing an hour late, for a 3 hour appointment, does not mean you only get charged for 2 hours. The artist booked you for 3 hours.

And if you book for 3 hours, and you change your mind, and are finished in 1, then the artist is again, sitting with no income when they could have booked someone else in that slot.

As for consultations, these are usually an hour long courtesy appointment so you can meet your artist and go over your design ideas. They could have booked someone else in your spot if you do not show.

Please be considerate of your artist's time. They value yours.

If not - you're sure to be placed on their SHIT LIST. (every artist has one)

After Care

After care in a nutshell: Whether you choose to use saniderm/ tagaderm or another similar second skin for healing, my recommendation is to wash your tattoo in an hour or so of leaving your appointment

Designing your tattoo

Where do you start? Please don’t come to an artist and say ‘I have no idea what I want’. That’s great you’re willing to commit to the unknown but I have to have a starting point. And that’s up to you.
